Condolence: Grammy, we were driving down to see my mom on Thursday and my stepdaughter, Kayla saw the rays of sunshine peering through the clouds and she said "Look, Kris, God is letting us know that he is so happy that he has Gram-Gram". That was so fitting because you were and always will be a ray of sunshine in my life. I can still see you singing and dancing in our kitchen on South Airline Road in Wallingford, CT. I will miss you. All my love, your granddaughter, Kristine

Condolence: My Grandmother, Blanche, was a very special person to me. She came to Connecticut almost every summer to take care of me when my mother, Norma, was working. I also spent many summers with her at her home on Adams St. Not only was she an inspiration to me, as a hardworking, loving person - she taught me so much about life. Her loss can never be replaced. I feel that a piece of my heart is gone. I cannot think of anyone who was as fiercely devoted, kind, and loving to everyone she came in contact with. God Bless you, Grammy. I hope you are in a better place and you are smiling down on us. Love - Diana

Condolence From: Fr Paul Sullivan SJ
Condolence: Blanche was a great person. I always enjoyed visiting her in Eastport and then Calais - and I am sure she was very happy to get back to her beloved Eastport more recently. Since she so loved bringing people together to feed them, I thought it may not be coincidental that the Lord called her on the day of his Last Supper. I wish I could be in Eastport to celebrate her life but will remember her at Mass here in CT.

Condolence: In many ways it is always sad to see someone you know and love pass away. Yet, I still find myself in awe with regards to how she managed to survive for 110 years and remain in relatively good health. It is truly a blessing that only very few ever get to experience. In addition to longevity, Blanche was an inspiration to many of us and will be sorely missed.

I can remember serveral occasions that we had the pleasure of being in her company with you mom and dad. I am sure that she is having her cup of tea with them at this moment. Comfort to the three of you.
